With the further reform of education system and increasing educationalinvestment, China’s higher education has been booming observably. Thediversification and systematization of school form urged higher education to shiftfrom elite class to average class step by step. Under the background of educationalpopularization and leapfrog development in higher education, independent collegehas been created to meet people’s needs of Diversification of education. In the past10years,it has entered a new path from scale expansion to connotation development. Inthis process, the establishment of a group of stable, high-quality teachers is not onlythe guarantee of a high teaching level, but also the key-point for independent collegeto get social recognition and achieve a long-term development. Meanwhile, for theestablishment of a highly qualified faculty, a set of scientific, fair and efficientperformance evaluation system for teachers is indispensable.Basing on the Relevant theory and academic research, taking JiangxiAgricultural University Nanchang Business College as an example, combining the theschool-running features of independent college and my own working experience inthis college, this essay made a detailed investigation and analysis towards theperformance evaluation system for teachers in Nanchang Business College. Whilestarting from the characteristics of the college and the strategic target, aiming at theproblems in the teachers’ performance appraisal, this paper design the evaluationindex system and scheme. These will make the independent college to form aIndicator system with its own features and a relatively well-developed index systemto provide reference for college teachers’ performance appraisal.
