The "Music Curriculum Standards of Compulsory Education (2011edition)" is theamendments based on the "Music curriculum standards of Full-time Compulsory Education(trial edition)". It fully assimilates the experiences and achievements of the curriculumreform of the past ten years. It makes some necessary adjustment and amendment on themusical course of the compulsory stage in the following aspects: the value and nature ofmusic courses, the basic concept and design of music curriculum, the content standard ofmusic class and the suggestion of implementing the new musical curriculum in reality.What’s more, it gives a new explanation to the teachers about “how to teach” and thestudents about “how to study”, thus provide new ideas, new directions and newrequirements to the music teaching in primary schools. By analyzing the status quo of themusic class of primary school in Tangshan district, the teachers can study seriously andexplore positively to the New Curriculum. But in practical teaching, they may teachcontrarily. Such as: they can’t teach students in accordance with their aptitude; their classwon’t be students’ centered; they lack the spirit of innovation and exploration to the class.To change this situation, it requires all the music teachers study the ideas of the NewCurriculum seriously, innovate music teaching, and improve the quality of the music classgradually. Finally, it can help the students develop harmoniously and comprehensively.This thesis takes Phoenix Primary School of Tangshan district as an example, explores fromthe following three aspects: the understanding of the New Curriculum; the analysis ofcurrent primary music class; the innovation of the primary music class under the guidanceof the New Curriculum. Through the interpretation of the New Curriculum and the analysisof the teaching material of Tangshan district, this thesis will give guidance to the teachersand let them have a further exploration to the educational philosophy. Through thequestionnaire of the students, the interviews of parents and the comparison of music classesof different schools, this thesis will help the teachers have a better understanding about theirshortcomings, and then they can make some improvement in time. Finally, the authorcombines her own teaching experience with the innovation of primary music class and proposes some relevant teaching methods. This may have a positive effect to help theteaching activities carry out smoothly. And this will help the classes adapt to therequirements of the New Curriculum much better. Then the students will enter the musicclassroom more willingly, happily and earnestly.
