Social stratification is an important sight explaining the different sectors of societyto participate in sports, that different walks of life participate in sports will promote thedevelopment of mass sports. The theory of social stratification provides importanttheoretical basis of the characteristics of the different class of people which participatein sports, and because of the division of the different sectors of the theory of socialstratification social crowd, makes it possible to analysis the factors of the varioussegments of the population to participate in sports by understanding crowds whoparticipate in all levels of society sports, and has important theoretical and practicalsignificance to promote mass sports along the road development.Papers take different social segments of the population as the object of study inMaoming, Guangdong Province, from which the countie of Gaozhou and Huazhou, twocounty-level cities of Maoming, and Maoming,a prefecture-level city are randomlyselected as the sampling frame. Diversified social class structure presents a dynamicperiod of transition in our society perspective, through the analysis of a large samplesurvey of sports participation features on the Maoming different social class, to examinediversification trend and multidimensional factor of different social class features sportsparticipation in Maoming.Questionnaire, literature, interviews, and mathematicalstatistics, comparative analysis method were used in the study, the collected data wereanalysed by using social science statistics program SPSS17.0software. The resultsshowed that:1、Maoming City, the present situation and characteristics of different social stratamainly displays in: population of different social classes have more balanced populationstructure, but the proportion of the working class is relatively large, proportion of otherwalks of life structure is similar to the other same grade city. Management, technicalstaff hierarchy and Private Entrepreneurs have a relatively high quality of life regardlessof their living conditions or a higher standard of living, followed by the self-employedclass and the staff hierarchy whose living conditions were better, the lowest standard ofliving are the working class and other strata; in the income and consumption level,management and Private Entrepreneurs have the highest income and the consumptionlevel. Technician class and self-employment class whose income is relatively high, andtheir level of consumption is in the middle, the lowest income levels and consumptionlevel are the working class and other strata; in the aspect of leisure time,self-employment hierarchy whose leisure time is at least, followed by private entrepreneurs class and other classes, management class and technicians.class have themost leisure time.2、Rrent situation of sports participation of different social sectors of Maoming cityis reflected in the project selection, managers, professional and technical personnel andPrivate Entrepreneurs are more likely to choose single or double forms of consumeritems with high expence, such as badminton, bowling and so on. officers, self-employedclass choose Square Dance or low consumption balls, such as badminton, table tennis,basketball.workers and other walks of life choose more free fitness classes, walking,running or ball games, such as basketball and volleyball. on the level of physicalexercise, from management to other segments, not to engage in physical exercise classis the largest proportion of the employment class, followed by the owners of privateenterprises and other sectors. time in physical activity, from the management socialstratum to other social strata,60-120minutes, from management to other sectors withthe gradually decling proportion. In the intensity of sports activities, along with themanagement to other sectors, with the improvement of the hierarchy, the small intensityand the high intensity of the crowd presented a "U", moderate-intensity groups showeda downward trend with the management to other sectors; To the place of physicalexercise, along with the management to others,it showed the trend to do exercise in theirown courtyard or indoor is mount up, and the trend in public sports venues isdownward, the workers, the clerks and other sectors mostly choose the square or parks,while management and private enterprise may like the gyms more over. To theguidance on accepting physical exercise,the situation without guidance in themanagements was more common than other sectors,by which a sharp downward trendfollowed. From management to other sectors, accepting the guidance of coaches andinstructors became fewer and fewer. And to the approaches to gaining motor skills,with the management to others, the rate of gaining motor skills through self-learningwas decline. The crowds gaining motor skills in the school was presented a "U-shaped"distribution.And the number of people participating in social training courses decreasedwith management to other sectors.3、Eimpacts of different social classes participating in sports activities in the city ofMaoming: The economic conditions are still the main constraints of the sportsconsumption level in the staff, the working class and other stratas. No time, no interest,no conditions and lazy, four factors,are still troubled by all sectors of society toparticipate in sports activities.4、Untermeasures to promote sports participation of different social classes inMaoming: First, to strengthen and perfect the management mechanism and strategy ofthe Maoming Municipal Sports Bureau, carry out the core life skills community health education actively, and give full play to the positive role of the local mass media, stepup publicity efforts to narrow the income levels of different social classes, developsocial sports instructors and a safeguard mechanism to improve the social sportsinstructors vigorously; Second, we should expand the of the upper class in society, andexpand the sports population of sports managers, private entrepreneurs and technicians;we also should raise the consciousness of the community sports participation inmiddle-level person, and should improve sense of participation in the hierarchy of thestaff, self-employment and working-class; We also have to guide the consumption ofsports activities of social middle and lower personnel, such as the working class andother strata; Finally, should improve their preparation and their welfare policies, andincrease efforts and the development of countermeasures that that the government guiddifferent social strata to participate in sports.
