Educational Countermeasures On Chongqing Migrant Peasant-workers’ Adaption To The City Life

In the course of industry developing and city modernization, the structure of each group in Chinese society and their living conditions have had changed tremendously, in which, the peasant-workers have inevitably suffered the most severe shock as the biggest group of China. The living status of this group has a great impact on the whole society, which could not be ignored and should not be. They are eager to survive in the violent reform of the society. They expect to have a series of good policy and have enthusiasm in the production life. They hope to be guaranteed in health care, social security and etc. They look forward to having work to do in employment and having status in society. Their common needs form the tension to breed constantly and accelerate the migration of peasant-workers to urban city from one generation to generation. However, the implementation of the reform in household registration system is not only an effective method to solve this problem but also an important way to speed up the urbanization process. Chongqing is a typical municipality with dual structure, which is a large urban city preceding with a large rural area. It took the household registration reform as the first one in nation in2010, which making conditional peasant-workers and the new generation transfer into city. It is a great breakthrough, by the beginning of2012, over3.22million people succeeded in transferring steadily and orderly. Although they has changed to urban residents in household registration, nevertheless, because the moment of inertia of the system and the whole city and themselves’ acknowledgement of their peasant identity,in addition, the relevant policy measures were not perfect in the beginning stage, all of the above made them not completely melt into the city. They are such a special group which requires us to devote more attention.This research mainly divided into four parts: Based on the relevant research on the city life status investigation of Chongqing migrant peasant-workers, the first part is just a brief summary of the policy background of present Chongqing’s household registration reform.The second part is to describe the approximate situation of Chongqing migrant peasant-workers’city life and then summarize the difficulties on hard adapting.The third part is analyzing the existing problems in Chongqing migrant peasant-workers to get used to living in the city.The fourth part is the essence of this paper. Through the analysis of the above problems, put forward the educational training countermeasures on Chongqing migrant peasant-workers’adapting to city life. First of all, promoting the gradual reform of the household registration system and making them enjoy more fair treatment; Next is to explore effective ways of increasing income. It will provide economic basis for the peasant-workers’ city life; Thirdly, improving the migrant peasant workers’ social security system gradually to enhance the migrant peasant-workers’ confidence in living in the city; Last of all, obtaining employment is the crucial point for migrant peasant-workers’city life. These suggestions and countermeasures are put forward so as to provide reference for the relevant departments.
