Practice Research On Promoting The Poor Mobile Population’s Community Participation

With the acceleration of urbanization,more and more rural labor move to cities,forming a huge mobile population.However,due to the limitations of the dual system and other factors, while the mobile population making contribution but also be excluded from the city,can’t enjoy the fruits of city’s development.Community participation as an important channel to express demands, safeguard legitimate rights,as well as the necessary way to assimilate the mobile population into city,we should value the effect of community participation in solve the problem of mobile population,pay close attention to the situation of community participation of mobile population.G community which social worker practice is a mobile population concentrated residential areas, the mobile population take part two-thirds in the total population of the community,so researchers have more opportunities to contact with the mobile population.In the contact with mobile population,we find that their problem in community participation is more prominent,this phenomenon attracts us,and try to use the practice methods of social work to intervene the mobile population’s community participation.The object of study is the poor migrants in community.In the previous study, we use interviews and questionnaires methods learned the insufficient of the mobile population’s community participation,and analysis of the predicament of community participation.The research use the method of group work to achieve goal of improving the willingness of participation,conducting the practice research of promoting the mobile population’s community participation.In particular,regarding poor mobile population in G community as the study,founding mobile population growth group,under the guidance of the theory of participatory development and empowerment, taking group discussion and elderly birthday celebrations as platform,making members to participate in the planning and implementation of group activities and playing an active role, in the participatory,during this comprehensive process to improve members’ participation willingness,and promote the mobile population’s community participation effectively.The effect of social work intervention is assessed using a measurement questionnaire before and after the intervention.Based on the assessment results,we can learn that after 7th panel discussions and 5th birthday celebration, the members’ willingness to participate community activities is effectively improved.The practice research on promoting the poor mobile population’s community participation has achieved the goal of improving intervention object’s participate willingness.
