A Study On The Phenomenon Of Internet Moral Anomie

With the rapid development of society and the progress of modern science and technology, the Internet has already become an indispensable part in people’s daily life. Its huge influences can be seen everywhere, which changes both people’s mind and life styles. As the Internet plays so important a role in our society, when we look into it carefully, we are surprise to find that the Internet not only provides convenience to people, but also causes some disturbing problems. This article is mainly about the moral anomie phenomena on the Internet. Defined as a typical representative of virtual social-communicating platform, the micro-blog develops rapidly and soon becomes more and more popular. There is no doubt that the micro-blog keeps up with the trend of the times, meet users’ needs and people loves it. However, every coin has two sides, because the micro-blog users often act as a publisher and receiver of information at the same time. The transformation of these identities may bring some negative consequences. With the time going, such negative things emerge gradually, like absurd rumors, network violence, donation fraud, human flesh search and so on. All these so-called ’moral anomie phenomena’ inevitably have bad effects on the society from many aspects. This article makes the micro-blog as an example, through the study of the micro-blog moral anomie phenomena, we can better our methods to analyze the moral anomie problems of the whole internet. Thus causes of these phenomena can be proposed, measures can be taken, people’s correct concept upon the Internet can be established and the environment of this virtual society can be purified in order to work its way out perfectly and positively.This article is consisted of four parts:the first part is the introduction. This part introduces the background and significance about this research, summarizes the status of the internet moral studies at home and abroad, elaborated this research ideas, methods and possible innovations. The second part elaborates the related concepts of the internet moral anomie phenomena, generates its specific meanings and characteristics, concludes the broad and narrow senses of the social network, expounds the value of the network society and at last analyzes the network morality The third part focuses on the micro-blog moral anomie phenomena which are usually seen among the usages of the modern social network, for example, false information and the network rumors, human flesh search, infringement of the rights of others, micro-blog violence, micro-blog language anomie and micro-blog tax fraud. These phenomena all lead to bad social influences. In each micro-blog moral anomie phenomenon, I wrote specific case analysis and then tried to find the reasons from the following three aspects:social environment, characteristics of the internet and the micro-blog users. The fourth part mainly gives the countermeasures of micro-blog moral anomie phenomena:Firstly, from the perspective of the government, the government should perfect the related internet laws and regulations, strengthen legislation and punish the wrong online behaviors in time according to the law; Secondly from the micro-blog operators’perspective, they should put more energy to supervise their users and improve their way of information auditing; Thirdly, from the point of view of individual users, they need to improve their knowledge on media literacy and abide the laws and social rules, nurturing a good quality of self-discipline; Finally, from the perspective of society, we have to be united to strengthen the moral construction of the internet.for instance, combining the traditional media and the new internet media, establishing industry associations and paying attention to the school internet moral education, etc.Through the internet moral anomie phenomenon research, seeking solutions to these phenomena can we purify the space of the Internet to magnify its active and positive role of promoting social harmony and stability.
