Analysis Of The Elders’ Intentions And Influencing Factors About Living In Institutions

An aging population situation and the weakening of family pension function make the pension of our country is becoming more and more heavy burden. In order to actively solve this problem, preliminarily established in China including home,community and institutional social endowment service system.Institution endowment of benign development to alleviate the pension burden plays an important role in our country, the study of institutional pension also has obvious theoretical and practical significance.In this paper, based on the China Longitudinal Aging Social Survey(CLASS)data,using the statistical software SPSS and the Logistic regression model, analyzed the influence factors of the elderly institution endowment intend in our country. Variables of four aspects are selected in this paper, including personal characteristics, health status,psychological feelings and social support,contains a total of about 13 of the independent variables. Different from previous research results, health variables are divided into physical health and mental health,joined the psychological feelings and social support in terms of variables, especially the effect on the institutions endowment of community endowment services hasn’t been involved in the previous studies, is the innovation of this article.The results showed that the old institution endowment intend to low in our country.Factors that affect the intention of endowment institutions include gender,occupation, number of children, health status,psychological feelings,community endowment service function. Women, non-agricultural employment, fewer children,psychological feeling worse, fewer community endowment service function,endowment institutions intention is higher, in general, intend to higher mostly is vulnerable.From the influential factors to find the direction of development for China’s institutional pension. Improve the elderly identification of institution endowment requirements not only changing the concept of pension, the pension agency also need to shape more positive image; Different characteristics of the elderly institution endowment demand is different,especially physical health has a significant influence on institution endowment intend,pension institutions should pay attention to improve and perfect health care service;The subjective psychological feeling also has influence oninstitution endowment,to increase love nourishes and humanistic care,improve the elderly subjective well-being and satisfaction is very necessary.The more community endowment service function, the lower institutions endowment intend about the elderly,improve the community elderly service ability,development of community endowment institutions is one of the development trend of the future.
