County government is in the key position of central and local nexus, after several decades of development, China’s county government supervision work has made considerable progress and achievements, from weak to strong, from the virtual to the real. With years of exploration and construction, Governments at all levels have been basically formed a government supervision work system with Chinese characteristics. With The achievements at the same time, we must be soberly aware that there are still many problems of the China’s current government supervision work, in particular at the most basic level of county government supervision work. As the implementation front-line departments of the Party and the state government, there are still some gaps between the mission and responsibilities. The level of the government supervision work and the depth of the performing is related to the public support as well as welfare of the people, it also determines whether the policy of the Party Central Committee can be really implemented. In this paper, it is selecting the Y city of Changsha as a case, from the individual to the general, and from the empirical to the theoretical, that analyzing and studying deficiencies and gaps of county government supervision work.
