Social Security Information Construction

Socialsecurity informatization is a complicated systemengineering, covering a wide area of gold insurance network construction, infrastructure, data center construction, social insurance network application, and integrating software development with the construction of public service system, social security card system and other aspects, it is featured with strong policy, large business scope, large information flow, high data exchange frequency.In recent years, social security information construction in Taiyuan has been given great attention and work efforts, it has played an important role in improving the social security business process, strengthening the public service capacity, reducing administrative costs, improving business efficiency with the increasing informatization. But some problems can also be detected as regards to the overall low level of informationization, unable to meet the needs of the whole social security business development. Information technology could only be placed in the core position to realize the fair, efficient and safe operation as a significant support of social security business. Along with the expansive construction of the gold security engineering, informationization work realized a high-speed development in a rare opportunity of rapid development period.There are some realistic problems to be solved urgently, e.g. how to provide the high quality for the specific business environment through informational technology, how to realize the far-ranging work of social security card applications, how to improve the level of public services by information technology, how to formulate the work direction based on the existing information construction.This paper is to study the information construction on the basis of the above understanding. The methodology adopted is literature research and combination of practice and theory. And provides specific suggestion based on the summary of the status of Taiyuan’s social security information construction in recent years, connecting the original social security characteristics and requirement of the further development, respectively from the systematic development, the construction of the public service, card application expansion; safety construction, personnel training, investment and other aspects to form a set of expertise guidance and feasible construction scheme in order to provide theoretical support to further promote the work of social security information.
