From The Theory Of Evolution Thought To Marxism:Chen Duxiu’s Important Transformation Of Early Thought

Chen Duxiu has a significant and far-reaching influence on modern history of China. He is the witness of Chinese philosophy in the 20th century. His philosophy thought influences the process of modern philosophy’s transformation and the development of localization of Marxism in China. His early philosophy thought is abundant, the evolution theory can be seen in each paper of his paper, so that we can understand the importance of the theory of evolution on his early philosophy thought. The early Chen Duxiu’s philosophy thought is got from Japanese-interpreted western learning. In the 20th century, he has been to Japan 5 times. Chen Duxiu sees the superiority of Marxism from the victory of the October revolution, after in-depth research, Chen Duxiu thinks Marxist theory is more advanced, scientific, more in line with China’s reality, so Chen Duxiu resolutely abandon the evolution of ideas, to accept the theory of Marxism. He becomes the early Marxists in China. Then he begins to actively promote Marxism, makes great efforts to push forward development of Marxism. he makes great contributions to the transformation of modern Chinese philosophy and the localization of Marxism in china. His efforts have enlightenment and reference for modern and contemporary society.This paper uses Japanese-interpreted Western Learning as entry point, aims to explore the influence of Japanese-interpreted Western Learning on Chen Duxiu’s early philosophy thought and the reason why Chen Duxiu changes his belief from the theory of evolution to Marxism. This research is good for understand the origin of early Marxist theory in china and its development process.
