Research On The Property Declaration And Publicity System

The property declaration and publicity system is recognized worldwide as a powerful measure to prevent bribery and corruption crime at the source. It is also an important system to prevent official corruption and enhance the credibility of the government. The system can strengthen the supervision of public officers and reduce the opportunity and possibility of crime, prevent the occur of bribery and corruption, that is a significant tool for anti-corruption works.At present, bribery and corruption crime still occurs often and easily in China. It caused huge losses to people’s interests. To prevent and contain this crime effectively, there is a pressing need to establish and improve the property declaration and publicity system that according to the conditions of China. From the perspective of bribery and corruption crime prevention, this paper discussed the function and value of the property declaration and publicity system. According to the current status of individual event reporting system and the situation in some pilot areas and the research of related system in other countries, this paper mainly focused on discussion of the perfection of the property declaration and publicity system in China from the legislative level, the regulatory mechanisms and accountability mechanisms aspects, thus making suggestions for the establishment of a property declaration and publicity system in line with China’s national conditions.
