Patient group of cognitive disorders is one of the vulnerable groups which needs toattract more attention on the study of social security. The group needs long-termmedication since their childhood, and other forms of rehabilitation of adjutant therapywith high demand. In current, China lack of emphasis on this group, the onlyexisting studies interest in those who may have worst impact on other people--themost violent part of them. We never see them as a group that may need our help.In the present stage of social security for this group is still not perfect, there are stillmany problems. Most of the group members are also having no ability to live independently even intheir adult time. It’s hard to maintain their living right just by their families to takecare of them. In China, the group of patients for cognitive impairment in socialsecurity mainly rely on family. In most cases the family cannot do well to withstandrisks. They are lack of high and stable economic capacity to sustain lifelongmedication and take care for the patient. After this they will face adult patients frompoor families, elderly parents and other difficulties, making it difficult to maintaintheir normal life. And this group has been plagued by stigma, they have been isolatedand exclude by the society. The stigma because problems of both patients and theirfamilies bear the tremendous psychological pressure they don’t deserved. It makesthem fear to seek medical treatment and help because of they will be discriminatedagainst just because of they were ill. For this reason, it is difficult for them to berehabilitation. They are rejected to return to the society. They cannot get propermedical aid and social assistance. Besides, the patients and their relatives of the standand face a disease-ridden sense of guilt due to illness caused. Medical treatment andrehabilitation care is also insufficient to cause this group and their families’ socialreintegration difficulties. In China, the conventional treatments of mental illness have been incorporated into a major illness health insurance. However, many treatmentsand medicine for cure and diagnosis of mental retardation and other cognitivedisorders are still not included in the insurance coverage. For cognitive impairmentgroup rehabilitation care in our country is just at beginning, only a few numbers ofnon-governmental organizations start to explore the rehabilitation of autistic children. No rehabilitation system for the scientific system of the entire group. This situation isinconsistent with social justice, social security is not conducive to continuing toexpand our sound. With the continuous development of society, They do not getenough attention to the social security system has long been the subject ofdiscrimination the right to social cognition disorders should be protected so that theycan enjoy the basic rights of citizens just like other groups did and they also need toget more assistance from the society.China should establish a multi-pillar of the welfare system through legislation tohelp patients with cognitive impairment and rehabilitation this group could get theright treatment. At the same time. It would help a lot by using policy guidance of thegovernment and strong ability to influence the government’s public serviceannouncement to help eliminate the stigma against this group. It is not only mean wellto alleviate social contradictions and maintain fair social stability, but also contributeto alleviate the patient’s symptoms thus better able to back into society.
