A New Resarch On Marx’s Doctoral Dissertaion And Its Contemporary Value

At present, research results about Marx’s thought focus on historical materialism and surplus value. In contrast, little research about Marx’s early thought especially’ Doctoral Dissertation’ shows scholars pay little attention to it. But the importance of ’Doctoral Dissertation’ especially contemporary value can not be denied. As his first philosophical work,’Doctoral Dissertation’ is the origin of Marx’s thoughts. To understand and analysis this work comprehensivly is of great value for the research of later thoughts and its development of Marx.Firstly, To find the reason Marx selected the topic, writing background, source of the work and development logic of Marx’s thought is discussed at the condition of that time. Secondly, based on stating text itself, subtle but essential difference between Democritus and Epicurus under natural philosophy that the latter better than the former is indicated. Also, although Marx think highly of Epicurus’ accidental choice theory, aiming at establishing the supreme divine self-awareness. He did not totaly and uncriticaly accept it. He wrote this article by innovating and exceeding Hegelianism and Young Hegelian.’Doctoral Dissertation’ which has sharp criticism has rich ideological implication and high contemporary value. The thought of this article can give us revelation about the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics and happy life.
