Research On Academic Misconduct Processing System Of University Students

Due to the unhealthy academic atmosphere in the society, more and moreacademic misconduct comes out. Academic misconduct of famous scholars andteachers has been exposed continually. The undesirable practices of academicresearch has gradually penetrated into the group of university students, especiallypostgraduate students. Achieving academic award by academic misconduct willbring extremely serious consequences to researchers themselves, colleges anduniversities, and even the society, which not only has violated the original intentionof college education, but also makes the quality of academic research resultsunsatisfactory, and hinders the process of scientific development.In recent years, the society pays more attention to academic misconducts, andacademic integrity has captured eyes of our country, scientific research institutionsand universities. The ministry of education has republished many relevantdocuments to supervise academic researches, and taken actions about education andgovernance on the academic construction of universities from2012to2014. As wecan see, the means of moral education can no longer be enough to stop the incidenceof academic misconduct. Universities must establish relevant system to alert theteachers and students to research honestly.This article studies on processing system of academic misconduct of universitystudents. If we wants to use some institutions to achieve the purpose of governance,we requires a complete system which has to be operability and feasibility. Byanalyzing the academic integrity constitutions set by universities in our country, Ifound that there are still many shortcomings about college students academic normsin the texts, which couldn’t be much useful for kinds of misconducts. Drawinglessons from successful experiences at home and abroad, this paper focuses on thecognizance of the university students’ academic misconduct, the processingprocedure, supervision and etc. and aims to put forward a complete and fairprocessing system of academic misconduct of university students.
