A Study Of The Educational Function Of College Stiidents’ Volunteer Service

College students’ volunteering services activities are practiced by a special group---college students with higher knowledge, based on their cognition, exploration and judgment about volunteerism. As a emerging social practice, its are both an important form of social practice and a significant method of cultivating all-round, high-quality talents by colleges because of its special and strong educational function. In this paper, its summarized by the methods of literature analysis and theory with practice, which were based on defining the relevant concepts, analyze its characteristics, review the history of the university volunteer service and on the summary of the current situation of college students volunteer services to college students volunteer service. Then, to explore it’s the performance, and for the corresponding problems, discusses the college students volunteer service is an effective means of educational function into full play.This thesis consists of three chapters. In chapter one, it defines the concepts of college students’ volunteering services activities, clarifies its five characteristics, which include voluntary, nurtures the human nature, fashion model, identity and culture. Analyses it’s the current situation from four aspects that are historical accumulation of the generation of college students’ volunteer service, the development process, the field and the problems of College students’ volunteer service faced. In chapter two, analyses its educational function from four characteristics. Firstly, the shape healthy personality which was embodied in enhances the students’ self-awareness, correct students’ outlook on life. Secondly, ascension of the quality of morality which was embodied ascension on the formation of college students’ moral knowledge and cultivation about the college students’ moral emotion. Thirdly, to cultivate college students’ socialist core values. Fourthly, to promote comprehensive ability this was embodied strengthening social practice ability improves their interpersonal skills, and strengthens organization and leadership ability. In chapter three, analyzes its effective means of the play from three aspects which was aimed at the problems faced by college students’ volunteer service functions. Three aspects including the self cultivation of the educational function of college students’ volunteer service, stimulate the internal motivation, to "three" as the guidance, to strengthen college students volunteer service function and improve the operational mechanism and providing guarantee mechanism for the play of educational function.
