With the increasement of social management affairs and the transformation of government functions, the expectations and requirements of public servants particularly for township grass-roots civil servants are increasing year by year, resulting to higher working pressure for them. In addition, as their work is different, how to effectively improve their stress status is not only related to the physical and mental health of civil servants, but also related to the work of the government performance. Therefore, it has important theory value and practical significance to study the job stress and the mitigation strategies of township grass-roots civil servants.This paper first briefly introduced the research background, research content, relevant research literature review and research ideas and methods of the study. At the same time, we introduced the concept of civil servants’ job stress of ownship grass-roots civil servants, and introduced the theory of work pressure source, work pressure, work stress management theory. Taking Tangshan City township as an example, we used empirical method, questionnaire investigation and random sampling method, selected 8 counties (city, area) of 40 township grass-roots civil servants of Tangshan City to collect data. A total of 300 questionnaires were issued, and 268 were recovered, remove 14 invalid questionnaires. And then, by the analysis of reliability and validity of the questionnaire data using SPSS statistical software, we found the pressure causes based on the analysis of primary civil servants in Tangshan City. A systematic review of specific cases at home and abroad and its response to the grass-roots civil servants management, and summarized the enlightenment to realse work stress of civil servants of Tangshan City.Based on the above analysis, this paper put forward with measures to alleviate pressure of grass-roots civil servants for Tangshan City Township, such as creating conducive to alleviate the pressure of environment, widening civil servants occupation organization to alleviate the civil servants occupation stress pathways, and improving civil servants their ability and level.Through the detailed analysis and discussion of the pressure of grass-roots civil servants, this paper can help the government understand the pressure condition of township grass-roots civil servants and take measures to reduce the pressure, thus allevating their job pressures and mental burden, and improving the performance of the government.
