The Research In Apartments For The Elderly Under The Empowerment Perspective

Population aging becomes an inevitable product of contemporary social and economicdevelopment. How to improve the quality of life for older people in the current economicand social conditions、living standards and quality of service become a common concernfor government、society、staff、and the elderly. With the increasing trend of aging in China,the traditional pension model of the family unit is gradually beginning to change to thesocial pension model. A new pension model---Apartments for the elderly is beginning torise.In the background of the apartments for the elderly, this article analyzes the currentstatus of our country as well as apartments for the elderly pension model in apartments forelderly, and to explore the relationship between resources and the needs of older persons inapartments. This article use the perspective of empowerment of social work, select " silverpower " project in Z apartments to explore how to promote the apartments for helping theelderly enhance self-efficacy、interaction and cognitive ability; improve mental problemsand social adaptation of the elderly, and enhance the quality of apartments for the elderlypension.Finally, give some proposals to promote the development of apartments for theelderly pension.
