In conjunction with the existing problems at some enterprises in Suzhou area, the paper analyzes how to conduct effective training and how to evaluate training effectiveness. There are two key perspectives to conduct effective training; one covers training factors and training process while the other covers training systematicness and practicality. With respect to training factors, enterprise should enhance trainer's role in an organization, understand the trainee's need and characteristic, design systematical content, enrich training methodology and build up training culture. During training process, enterprise should improve training needs analysis and emphasize deep training effectiveness evaluation. In addition, improving the systematics and practicality of training are the two key factors of effective training for most enterprises. Deepening training effectiveness evaluation is one of the most difficult things for training experts. So it is discussed in detail in this paper on how to calculate cost and benefit of a training project and on how to measure the contribution made by training to the corporate objective achievement. The way to link employee's knowledge and skill to corporate performance makes a direction on training effectiveness evaluation.
