Zygmunt Bauman`s Thought Of Postmodernity

There are plants of propositions about modernity and postmodernity in nowadays,for the world becomes more global and various. Many academics and scholars made discussions about those propositions, in which there is a outstanding sociologist and philosopher whose name is Zygmunt Bauman. With the foundation of social reality,by giving a surprised individual imagination, he made a different but special understanding about the conception of postmodernity.There are four sections in this thesis,which separately state the ideas about the understanding of postmodernity, postmodernity and postmodern society, the moral problems of postmodernity and the inspiration of postmodernity.Firstly, it gives a outline about Bauman`s thought of postmodernity and four stages of his philosophy`s translation. And to understand the conception of postmodernity,it must be a introduction of the assumption of “Utopia” and the conception of “modernity”. Then,there is a introduction of the relationship between the thought of postmodernity and postmodern society, in which it also refers to a proposition about the fate of intellectuals.As the legislators and interpreters,the intellectuals` social situation have been changed while the primitive experience also did.Thirdly, it refers to some inevitable moral problems in the postmodern society. At last, it puts up a discussion about the thought with the combination of social reality and postmodernity, also refers to what can be inspired by Bauman`s thought of postmodernity, especially in the field of globalization,unexpected, poverty and the social unity.
