Li Qingzhao’s theory on Ci is the first systematic work. From the point of Ci’s creation view, Ci Theory talked two problems mainly. Firstly, she quoted Mr Li’s story to indicate the importance of “rhythm”. Li think that Ci needs to observe melody more, and it fits trait’s of Ci. Poem and Ci are both musical. Modern style poetry has level and oblique tones though, it only read after all. In terms of Ci, it needs to song. So, when write Ci, we need to have more strict requires on tone. In Ci Theory, li emphasis that “poem possess level and oblique tons, Ci have five tones, six laws and Qing Zhuo weight”. Secondly, through the criticism to writers, she raised that Ci needs to have elaborate, solemnity and history facts. As a new type of writing,it has different features in style and method of performance. The thesis focused on Li Qingzhao’s thoughts that melody and words are equally important based on Ci theory and Ci writing. Chapter one analysis the song and words are equally important in Ci Theory. Chapter two analysis this theory in Shuyuci. Chapter three analysis this theory’s origin. Chapter four analysis its influence on Ci.
