| With the improvement and development of our country’s culture and education system, art museum as professional organization plays a more and more important role in promoting the development of public culture education. The expansion of the scope of public education, the rational distribution of public education resources and the improvement of the quality of public education service all call for promotion and development of the public education function of art museum. To art museum, the education function has gradually developed into one of its most important functions, which is closely related to other functions(exhibition, collection, research, communication and so on). It is very important to improve the level of public education in art museum for its own development.As the object of public education, the audience is not only the main participants of the art museum’s public education activities, but also the final evaluation of the effect of the art museum’s public education. Art museum of public education has to understand and achieve audience’s needs. Therefore, the audience is the most important part of the art museum public education, but also reflects the value of public education activities.Based on this situation, the article which takes the audience expand as the perspective of museum public education development is divided into three parts: first part is about museum public education and audience development to build up a theoretical framework. From the point of public education service system, article aims at studying art museum public co-educational connotation and form. And then, it is to research the mutual promotion between public education and audience expanding. In the second part, Shanghai Himalayas Art Museum is used as a case study to analysis the status of the public education activities from the audience expand view and to measure the activities of brand development. At last, find out the problems museum activities encountered in its development. In the third part, according to the case of Himalayas Art Museum, article summed up the factors affecting public art museum education and find out external constraints from the policy environment and the cultural influence inquiry. Finally, article try to explore the right path for the development of public education in Art Museum considering audience expanding idea. |
