After the Lugou Bridge incident, Resisting to Japanese aggression became the national people’s goal. The Chinese Catholic church took an active in the movement of resisting against Japan to save the nation. Welfare China became one of the mouthpiece to Propaganda the resistance to Japanese aggression, and it record vast words and deeds of resisting to Japanese aggression to save the nation, which represented the political attitudes and opinions of most of the clergy and Catholics.The Vatican held a neutral attitude towards the Sino-Japanese War at first to safeguard missionary rights in China, and acknowledged the Manchukuo, which Lead to damaging the interests of China. Most of the Chinese Catholics weren’t swayed by the Vatican and still resisted against Japan firmly. In the aspects of the propaganda, the Catholics called for the resistance to Japanese aggression to save the nation, and gave a large number of specific suggestions. The important characteristic was using the theory of the Catholic Church to prove the legitimacy and justness of the Anti-Japanese War. The Chinese Catholic Church used a variety of religious celebration or Memorial Day to mobilize the public. What’s more, the Catholic Church actively participated in helping the wounded soldiers and refugees, and used the opportunities to get the moral and material support in the world. According to the change of the war situation, the Vatican adjusted the policy for the Sino-Japanese War in due course. The representative of the Vatican in China-Cai Ning gave public speaking three times to encourage the Catholics to be patriotic. The Vatican appointed Yu Bin as the supervision of the Chinese Catholic Church and the bishop of Nanjing diocese who supported for the war of resistance. Welfare China typically reflected the thought of the Chinese Catholic Church from the outbreak of Anti-Japanese War to the Wuhan Battle, promoting the understanding of the relationship between the Catholic and the war of resistance.
