When the pre-Qin philosophers interpret their ideas, "Saint" is one of the core values of their thoughts. Philosophers call the person who can finally realize their ideal "saint". A saint is the person who has the ideal personality. Different philosophers have different definitions of "Saint". Lao Zi whose main representative work is Lao-tzu and Zhuang Zi whose main representative work is Chuang-tzu are the main representatives of Taoism. Researchers generally believe that the inner and outer chapters of Chuang-tzu are different in nature, so do the miscellaneous chapters. The concept of "saint" has a variety of different names, such as "zhi ren", "shen ren", "zhen ren", "tian ren". This paper focuses on analyzing the meaning of the "saint" in the inner chapters of Chuang-tzu, then comparing it with the meaning of the "saint" in the outer and miscellaneous chapters of Chuang-tzu, in order to understand the diversity of the "saint" in a more comprehensive and accurate understanding. At the same time, the content of the "saint" in the previous research results was summarized. On the basis of this analysis, the main ideas of the "saint" of Chuang-tzu are analyzed and summarized comprehensively. According to the relevant discussion about such different names of "saints", combining previous points made in the related research and demonstration analysis, this paper draws a conclusion that "zhi ren", "shen ren" and "sheng ren" which are mentioned in Happy Excursion represent the same kind of person, instead of three kinds of different people. "Saint" refers to the people free from all bondage. Other terms, such as "zhen ren","da ren" and "tian ren", are all the different calls for saint."Saint" mentioned in Confucian is different from the saint in Chuang-tzu. While based on the connotation discussed in Happy Excursion, the meaning of the "saint", which is mentioned in outer and miscellaneous chapters of Chuang-tzu, mixed with many different thoughts of other schools. As a result, it is also different from which is said in the inner chapters of Chuang-tzu. Some special concepts, such as "Taoist magic arts" and "sainted in heart while advocating benevolent government", which are discussed in the miscellaneous chapters of Chuang-tzu, and the distinction of academic thought between Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi illustrate that there are great changes between Zhuang Zi and his disciples. That is to say, the thoughts reflected in the book named Chuang-tzu not equal to the thoughts summarized by Zhuang Zi himself.
