Menciusi Variorum Textual Research And Proofreading

Jin Lvxiang, as the descendant of Zhu’s theory,made contribution in Zhu’s study of Four Books. Jin’s Menciusi Variorum Textual summarized research result of Mencius’ theory of past dynasties and conserved WangBo and HeJi’s expression.Menciusi Variorum Textual have inherited and passed ZhuXi’s Menciusi Variorum on exegetic methods and views.Moreover,it has also brought many significant and farsighted innovation and complement to some aspects of exegetic style and naming and system.In a word,it played an important role in research of Zhu’s theory in Yuan dynasty.However,our predecessors on the study of the Four Book and Menciusi Variorum the original study is in great detail,but its place in Zhu’s study of Four Book in Yuan dynasty is concerned about inadequate,in particular the research in relationship between the two in academic world.Therefore,I seek to explore the above.This paper is of three parts:introduction,research,proofreading.Introduction to give an account of of "Four Mister of Beishan" in Confucianism’s definite place in history.Besides,it includes JinLvxiang’s status in inheritance of Zhu’s theory,academic status and research value of Menciusi Variorum Textual.The main content includes two major parts:The first part is the research that divided into there chapters.The first chapter explore the relationship in inheritance between the two from exegetic methods and philosophical perspective based on Menciusi Variorum.The second chapter mainly compare and analyze the differences between the two in style and content.The second part is proofreading which mainly contains punctuation and collation of Menciusi Variorum Textual. The start of this part is a Notes on the Use which explaining its edition,arrange stylistic rules and principle.In addition,catalog of the book is added to provide convenience for readers. At the end of the article, there is an appendices about the edition and the preface and postscript in history.
