Interpersonal-relationship disturbance is a serious issue for the college student. Meanwhile, irrational beliefs play an important role in this problem. Irrational beliefs will lead to unhealthy feelings of anxiety, depression, rage, and self-pity. However, the relevant research is very few. For the college student, they communicate with their schoolmates in the most of the time and the communication between students is quite different from the communication between students and teachers. So it is necessary to investigate the college students’ peer irrational beliefs. This study took college students for example, develop a peer interaction irrational beliefs scale and analyzed college students’ irrational beliefs perceived.Main conclusions of the research are got as below:Peer interaction irrational beliefs contains three dimensions:low frustration tolerance, global evaluation and absolutely demands. The reliability and validity of PIIBS have reached the acceptable level.There existed significant gender and mayor differences in the students’ peer interaction irrational beliefs.The total score of PIIBS is significantly positive correlated with total score of Interpersonal Contact Efficacy. The total score of Interpersonal Contact Efficacy has negative effect on the interpersonal problems. And the total score of PIIBS is significantly positive correlated with total score of interpersonal problems.Interpersonal Contact Efficacy suppress the relationship between peer interaction irrational beliefs and interpersonal problems.
