Kove’s book The Enemy of Nature reflects fully his thoughts of ecosocialism.Kovel thinks that capital is anti-ecological in nature and the capitalist production is the growth of cancer. Therefore, capital and capitalism are not only the biggest enemy of nature, but also arch-criminal of the ecological crisis. Critically absorbing the reasonable factors of the green economics, the green philosophy and the First-epoch socialism, Kovel proposes the overthrow of the capitalist system and the establishment of ecosocialist society. By using the Marxist angles, Kovel insists on analyzing and treating the problem of the imbalance between human and nature. Moreover, He enriches and develops the theory of Marxism from the ecological dimensions. Moreover, the reasonable compositions of the thoughts of Kovel’s ecosocialism are still the reference for the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
