Based on the relevant perspectives about learning attitude and Professor Liu Xun’s three-dimensional studies about learning attitude, this thesis mainly aims at international students in Primary class. It uses questionnaires with Excel statistical software to obtain the different situations which are about the primary students’learning attitude under the following 5 factors:gender, age, culture belonging, original Chinese or not and state-funded or not.The research contents are divided into four parts:introduction, theoretical basis for learning attitude, questionnaires and data analysis, relevant suggestions. The introduction focuses on the analysis of research origin, research status as well as research significance. The second part mainly dwells on the definition and the three-dimensional division of learning attitude. The third part stresses on the three dimensions of international students’ Chinese learning attitude reflected on five factors. The last part is to give some suggestions about national policies, school plans and teachers’ qualities. The shortcomings of this thesis are also pointed out. Results of the survey show that Chinese learners in the initial level hold the most positive attitude towards learning Chinese, followed by teacher, teaching materials and finally the class. However, they hold the most passive attitude towards Chinese clubs, associations as well as culture and customs. In the case of Chinese learning attitude, there is no marked differences between whether funded publicly or not. However, significant differences exist in terms of gender, age, cultural belonging and original Chinese or not. Different gender doesn’t have influence on the attitude towards Chinese club and culture as well as teacher, curriculum and teaching materials. Nevertheless, there still exists significant differences with regard to age, cultural belonging, original Chinese or not and state-funded or not. Finally, feasible and effective suggestions concerning national policies, school plan and teachers’ qualities be put forward. The government should take steps to attract foreign learners and optimize the students’structure. Teachers should be trained regularly in order to improve their overall levels. Optimize the proportion of teachers and recruit full-time teachers. The college should increased the course to enrich the students’ contents. More activities for students should be organized to experience the culture and art. Teachers ought to improve their professional qualities and enhance individual responsibilities. Different methods should be adopted to teach different students.
