The Contrastive Study Of Unconditional Compromise Sent- Ences "无论P,Q" And "任凭P,Q"

As conjunctions,"no matter" and "despite" can both lead unconditional concessions in modern Chinese.But there are some differences between them in their usages.In this passage,we will disscuss their differences and analyze their syntactic,semantic and pragmatic value.All these research findings will be the foundation of explaining why they are different and why they can transform to each other.All the analysis of this passage are based on previous research,especially the small triangle grammar theory.The whole passage contains five parts:The first chapter is the introduction.In this part,we mainly introduced the basis of choosing this topic;the research achievement of previous scholars;the related problems which need to be solved;and the researching approaches,methods and the corpus source of this paper.The second chapter mainly introduced syntactic,semantic and pragmatic value of "no matter"sentence.In syntactic aspect,we assessed the internal structure,functions, order,ellipsis of the sentence.In semantic aspect,we assessed the semantics of two sentences respectively,and pointed out the correlation and influence factors between them.In pragmatic aspect,we pointed out that this sentence tends to contain written colour,which used to emphasize the speaker’s cognition,emotion,attitude and requirements.As same as the second chapter,the third chapter discribled syntactic,semantic and pragmatic value of "despite" sentence.In syntactic aspect,we assessed the internal structure,functions,order,ellipsis of this sentence.In semantic aspect,we assessed the semantics of two sentences respectively,and discribled the correlation and influence factors between them.In pragmatic aspect,we pointed out that "despite" sentence contains oral colour and subjective tendency.The fourth chapter analyzed the similarities and differences between these two sentences.Firstly,we summarized the similarities of them on the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic value,and explained the inherent mechanism of mutual transformation between them;Then we analyzed the different performance of them,and explained why the difference appeared.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.In this part,we reviewed and summarized the content,and pointed out the innovations and shortcomings of this article objectively. The whole passage based on syntax,semantics,pragmatics three planes and small triangle theory.we employed a variety of research methods to discrible,analyze and explaine the two sentences.We also drawed lessons from the achievements of predecessors and combined diachronic analysis in the paper.
