China and Korea are connected mountains and rivers,and the two countries have been communicating frequently since ancient times, so Korean has absorbed lots of Chinese political system, ideology and culture, Confucianism tradition,and established ritual system which emulated China. In the period of the emperor Yejong of Goryeo Dynasty, Korea began to introduce the Northern Song Dynasty’s Dasheng Yayue,and then directly applied 6 of them in the court ceremonies of Goryeo. Da Sheng Yayue was originally made by Wei Hanjin-led musicians in the period of the North song Huizong Dynasty, which contained unique music theories connected closely to imperial grade and music view of universe. Accordingly these theories,the Huangzhong pitch and zheng sound&zhong sound binary system was made. From Goryeo to Joseon’s Lee Dynasty,the genre of Dasheng Yayue are constantly changing and developing. Dasheng Yayue basically maintained the original form during the Koryo,however the unrest of the domestic and foreign political affairs at the end of Goryeo led to a lot of loss of musicians and musical instruments lost and the phenomenon of the blended playing of Tang music and Korean country music.So that the Joseon’s Lee Dynasty had to regain Yayue. Lee Dynasty regarded neo-Confucianism as the governing ideas,which advocated Confucius and suppressed Buddhism,studied a lots of Chinese Confucian classics, completed the production of Yayue pipe,instruments, music score,and established the regulation of temperament and music form of songs,instruments and dances. The new Yayue did not continue to use Wei HanJin’s "finger temperament" and "zheng sound&zhong sound" theory, but returned to use the Chinese temperament creation method of accumulating broomcorn millet. Millet,and played Yayue in a unified standard of Huangzhong pitch. In the performing form of Yayue, Early Lee Dynasty’s Yayue completely use Chinese Yayue instruments,and Sejo Period’s Yayue absorbed the Tang music and Korean country music,until the Seongjong Period,Korean country music was still played in ancestral temple,but Chinese Yayue was still the main form in the sacrifice rites of Heaven,Land, Confucian temple and the like. In the dynamic development process of Yayue,it combined musicians of generations’exploration results toward Yayue, and complied with the requirements of the development of the Korean Times,but the substance was aimed at trying to restore the Chinese Yayue on the basis of ancient Chinese system.This article includes three chapters:First,the Northern Song Dynasty Dasheng Yayue; Second, The spread and Evolution of Dasheng Yayue in Goryeo; Third, The new development and evolution of Joseon’s Yayue in the 15th century.This paper was mainly discussed by using literature study research methods. The emergence and evolution of Dasheng Yayue from Goryeo to Joseon Dynasty were investigated according to’History of Song dynasty’,’History of Goryeo ·Music’,’Record of the Joseon Dynasty’,’Criterion of Music Study’and other books,as well as tracing back the venation of historical development of the Northern Song Dynasty, Goryeo Dynasty and Joseon Dynasty. Besides,this paper also combined with sociology, communication science knowledge to discuss the historical and cultural reason behind of the evolution process.
