The Music And Literature Of Dasheng Music Bureau

The appearance of Dasheng Music during Huizong regime of North Song Dynasty is of great significance in Chinese music history. The authority establishes an exclusive department in charge of music—Dasheng Music Bureau. No sooner is it created than Dasheng Music is spread to the whole country and Koryo, the ancient Korea. Even after the North Song Dynasty, the music is still active in different forms. Since the officials in Dasheng Music Bureau are at the same time excellent Ci writers, so there are"Ci writers of Dasheng Music Bureau"and"Dasheng Ci"put forward by some scholars. This thesis will study the background and popularization of Dasheng Music. Then, on the basis of this study, it will go further to study nature and function of Dasheng Music Bureau. Some of the officials'posts will also be exclusively studied. Lastly, it will explore on the relationship between"Ci writers of Dasheng Music Bureau"and Dasheng Music Bureau, so as to explain the truth of Dasheng Music and its literature and also restore historical truth.
