The main content of this paper is the music analysis and interpretation of playing "Beethoven’s Piano and Violincello Sonata No.5 in D Major (Op102,No.2)". The article is divided into five parts; introduction, three chapters and conclusion. The introduction outlines the greatness of Beethoven and his cello works and its necessity of studying, especially the last one cello sonata; the first chapter is an overview of Beethoven’s life and his five Cello Sonata’s background; the second chapter is an analysis of "Beethoven’s Piano and Violincello Sonata No.5 in D Major (Op102,No.2)"; the third chapter is the author’s understanding combined with practice experience, it also refers to different cellists’version compared elaborate for music playing techniques and experience. In the conclusion, the musician and the artistic value of his work are summarized. The author hopes that this paper can provide a more profound experience of learning this song, and thus provide theoretical bases for playing this sonata which was written by Beethoven in his later years.
