Comprehensive course, which is a basic and core course in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (TCSL). Comprehensive course teaching, beyond all question, is always combined with every stage in TCSL. Thus, the teaching effect and quality of comprehensive course is essential in TCSL.Nowadays, researches on teaching design in TCSL mainly in junior stage and senior stage,which is less than the intermediate stage. Some scholars argued that it must be guided by the teaching design with scientific theories and methods, as well as the specific class teaching practices, if the teachers who want to have comprehensive course achieved a content teaching effect. Besides, reflect on classroom teaching and summarizing are also taken into consideration.The dissertation intends to apply the scientific theories and methods of teaching design to the TCSL. We take the "job-hopping" as case in the comprehensive course with the sixteen foreign students that I have taught.The dissertation is divided into four parts:Firstly, we will summarize the important viewpoints in comprehensive course.Secondly, we will explore the course types, selected teaching materials, teaching content, teaching environment, the learners, principles,and the teaching methods.Thirdly, we will analyze the specific teaching design, it contains the teaching goals, difficult points, teaching time, teaching steps and related teaching materials.Fourthly, a summary is made of this dissertation. We will summarize the main points and some deficiencies on teaching design.
