| In recent years,more and more foreigners come to China to learn Chinese.We need more Chinese learner’s dictionary. So an excellent foreign-oriented monolingual learner’s dictionary becomes the aim of many Chinese language researchers. The study of China’s learner’s dictionary started late. The theroy and practice is not mature enough. On the contrary,English is a mainstream language of the world. Its learner’s dictionary has acceptted the market’s text. There are many excellent experience that we can learn from the English learner’s dictionary. Therefore, comparing Chinese’and English’s learner’s dictionary, we can receive English dictionary’s mature experience to develop our foreign-oriented monolingual learner’s dictionary.Paraphrase is the key part of the dictionary. There is no doubt that the core part of the foreign-oriented monolingual learner’s dictionary is still its paraphrase. The success of the paraphrase affects the sucess of the dictioanary. An excellent dictionary should follow some necessary principles, such as objective, category and so on. We need to establish a scientific concept of interpretation when we compile the dictionary.Vocabulary is a reflection of their native culture. And color terms are no exception.As a kind of special word,color terms attracts the attention of many scholars from native and foreign. Its huge system occupies the important position in the vocabulary system.It is also the important object that should be paraphrased in the dictionary.This topic research belongs to the category of lexicography. In this paper, under the guidance of learner’s dictionary theory, based on the existing research results of color terms, we compare the color terms’ paraphrase from Jiao Yu Xue Ci Dian and LONGMAN Contemparary Of English Dictionary.This article mainly analyze the color terms of the two dictionaries. After the comparative study, we summarize up their respective interpretation model, and the characteristics of the definition.Then we find the dictionary,especially the Chinese learner’s dictionary’s definition of imperfections.And on this basis, we establish the excellent paraphrase of color terms in the foreign-oriented monolingual learner’s dictionary.This paper will be divided into five parts:The first part, introduction, including the current research of this article, the research purpose and significance, research objects and research methods.The second part, the two study included comparative studies of color terms in the dictionary, respectively analyzes the situation of color words in the two dictionaries, and puts forward suggestions on learner’s Chinese dictionary.The third part, the basic color terms in the two dictionaries righteousness interpretation contrast research, mainly from the meanings of colors and how many and part-of-speech tagging, part-of-speech tagging and the consistency of interpretation, interpreting mode four aspects, this paper compares and analyzes the interpretation optimization suggestions are put forward.The fourth part, the basic color terms in the two dictionaries of the comparison of the color word meaning of righteousness, and respectively analyzes the two basic color terms in this dictionary meanings of word meaning selection and sorting, and then in the two dictionaries in word meaning to carry on the simple analysis of similarities and differences.The fifth part, summarize for foreign-oriented monolingual learner’s dictionary. |
