The material of the translation report comes from the book The South Pole, which is written by the great Norwegian explorer, Roald Amundsen, who is the first one to arrive at the South Pole. This book includes two volumes and gives an account of the Norwegian Antarctic expedition in the Fram, while the chosen material,Chapter â…¢, describes the events that happened on their way to the South Pole. After a series of work, the author finishes translating the first volume of the book, and chooses Chapter â…¢ as the material. The translation report consists of four parts:the description of the material, the translation process, the case analysis and the summary of translation.
