Zisha art has developed its self-contained and unique style in the structure of Chinese ceramic art, creating a craft model of excellent material and exquisite technological workmanship. For thousands of years, the unique modeling style and deep cultural connotation contained in Yixing Zisha ware have long been cherished and inherited among common people. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Yixing Zisha ware fell upon the period of development and maturity during which a wealth of talents emerged in large numbers and an agglomeration of masterpieces came forth. With the rise of palace tea culture and the continuous introduction of Yixing Zisha ware into the palace, Kangxi emperor had the craftsmen successfully fired Zisha color enamels "made by the emperor order of Kangxi" which successfully opened the kiln production of "Royal Zisha". Afterwards, during the continued inheritance of two generations of emperors Yongzheng and Qianlong, royal Zisha ware art with various styles was developed, making out a special history for the development of Zisha ware art.For those Zisha wares produced totally according to the will of imperial family and used for palace, the supervision department of royal court adhered to strict process system. Biscuits of wares were firstly burned at Yixing, and then the patterns were drawn according to the draft provided by the palace. Finally, the products were accomplished in the palace. The final products were featured with excellent quality, superior process and extremely rich and noble atmosphere in palace. In addition to the biscuits of Zisha, there was also a combination of mud painting, gold depicting, lacquer coating, colored enamel, carving and other decoration crafts. The technology represents the highest production level and technological achievements during the golden age of Yixing Zisha ware. As one of the precious cultural heritages left by Qing imperial family, some outstanding decoration crafts and essences of technology have provided important historical reference for the contemporary creation of Zisha art and it is worthwhile for us to continue the studies and keep on the development.
