"Consumer culture"(consumption culture) refers to certain social by knowledge- complex operation of power formed by the culture on consumption patterns, meaning, value, etc., is a comprehensive and consumer-related various factors. After the second Western industrial revolution, a massive new middle class led the earliest era of consumption. China’s consumer culture in the reform and opening up on the occasion of the beginning of another, he was the multifaceted impact of the political system, economic system and level of economic development, people’s values, customs, and other residents of the overall quality, but also affect people’s lives. As Chinese society since the 1990 s after the rapid transformation of the prevailing consumer culture, consumer culture and the growing popularity of cultural occupy the dominant position, its research is increasingly becoming an important issue of domestic academia. This paper introduces the consumer culture produced in China, the transformation of the development direction of China’s oil, specifically for painting the transition from concept to commercialization aesthetic ideas, such as changing the face of changing style of oil painting, oil painting language, oil painting image and so on. Secondly, this paper also discusses the role in promoting the development of consumer culture on Chinese painting, the birth of a new artistic ideas and new art trends, and thus promote the birth of a number of critical theory and critical spirit of the work of art and so on. Finally, the negative impact of consumer culture brought to China to also make the necessary studies, cultural market gives artists and works of art brought serious impact, large-scale and bulk copy simple repetition of these works are no longer art, development of Chinese painting gradually missing cultural independence.
