Sentence patterns transformation is a method to transform a sentence into another kind of sentence patterns with shifting, adding, deleting, replacing sentenceelements, inorder to make clear the syntactic meaning and adapt to the needs of expression, in simple terms is the transformation relationship between different sentence patterns. For Chinese native students, there is a certain degree of difficulty in learning Chinese sentence patterns transformation, so it should be a key and difficult point of teaching in the international Chinese teaching classroom. Transformation analysis in Chinese grammar is one of the important research methods and teaching means, and its development is gradually changing, from the focus on grammar research, gradually towards a more general application in teaching. This article mainly aims at the syntax analysis and pragmatic analysis of Chinese sentence patterns transformation analysis carries on the thorough discussion, summing up the rules and characteristics of the foundation, and then further applied to the international Chinese teaching classroom, in order to guide our teaching by the theories. The full text is divided into four parts, mainly including the summary of historical research, the syntax analysis and pragmatic analysis of Chinese sentence patterns transformation analysis, and the application in international Chinese teaching.Syntax analysis part mainly analyzes the characteristics of sentence patterns transformation, including identity, parallelism and parallel constraints, it also discussesthe method of two kinds of sentence patterns transformation——transformationwithout changing the meaning of sentenceand transformation in changing the meaning of sentence. At the same time, analyzes the selection and transformation of several kinds of common sentence patterns, discussing the necessary conditions of sentence patterns transformationcombined withspecific examples. Pragmatic analysis part mainly explores pragmatic presupposition, pragmatic effect and pragmatic constraints of Chinese sentence pattern transformation, in order to explain the situation that the speaker would express the communicative intention more accurately by changing the sentence. The application of sentence patterns transformation part mainly analyzes the application of sentence patterns transformation in teaching materials and the practice in classroom application, it also elaborates the effect, application and the problem which we should avoid of sentence patterns transformation in teaching, hoping to have certain reference value on Teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
