In the Western Han Dynasty, the vassal king had a healthy interest in managing scholars and scholars attached to princes, cause central brain drain and academic vibration, to some extent, its a kind of provocation for a central authoritarian regime. By analing relationship between the local and the central government of managing scholar, princes managing activities is not exactly the same as feudal rebellion, but for the central, managing scholar belongs to secessionist activities. Therefore, the central government by weaken the feudal king, perfect the election officer system, unify their thinking and measures of scholar norms, the scholars came into the central government. This paper is divided into four parts:The first chapter mainly discusses the background of managing scholar by princes in the Western Han Dynasty, respectively from four aspects, early Han Junguo parallel system, the feudal lord of the economic situation, wind of study tour, official selection system have been discussed.The second chapter is mainly from the means of princes raised scholars of vassal states, the role of scholars raised by princes, to analysis the relationship between raising scholars and the development of vassal state.The third chapter is from the opposition between princes and central government, the attitude towards the problem of raising scholars to analysis threats of raising scholars to the central government.The fourth chapter for threats of raising scholars to the central government, the central’s restrictions of raising scholars, and making relevant measures to guide the scholars from the local to the central.In short, with the strengthening of centralization of state power, the central government increased the regulation and guidance of the scholars, scholars of standardization to maintain autocratic imperial power is inevitable, but also bring negative influence to the authoritarian society.
