Huidaomen is the feudal superstitious organization to spread the secretive political activities with the name of religion. Chinese Huidaomen was produced in the late feudal society and it’s production had close relationship with the religious culture. It’s predecessor was the secret religion in China.Tianjin, the largest industrial and commercial city in northern China, is the focus and significant area of Huidaomen. So when the People’s Republic of China was founded in the early, the development of Huidaomen in Tianjin was very complex. Huidaomen’s development was not only a historical process, but also a process along with the continuous development of history, the Huidaomen in Tianjin was no exception. The Huidaomen organization in Tianjin was still absorbing "syncretism" thought, as a production of the fusion of Buddhism and Confucianism. The use of "three doomsday" thought was attracting followers to expand organization. The use of the strict organization system was to maintain the absolute authority of the leader. At the same time, with the development of history, the Huidaomen organization in Tianjin colluded with the ruler or the main political forces collusion. With the development of their own, Huidaomen was turning to the opposite side of the people, causing serious harm to society. The harm includes that: using the feudal superstitious to confuse the hearts of the people; preserving its authority of the leaders; cultivating a group of "loyal" as the tool of the reactionaries; defrauding money; squandering for human life; raping women and spreading rumors and riots to destroy the new People’s political power. At the early period of People’s Republic of China in Tianjin, the kinds of Huidaomen mainly was: "Yiguan Dao," "New World Buddhist Association", "Jiugong Dao", "Dafo Dao" and "Xiantian Dao" and so on.The great harm of Huidaomen made it become a significant political and social problem at the early period of People’s Republic of China. The government of Tianjin governanced Huidaomen step by step. At the beginning, the government of Tianjin according to the actual development of Tianjin took policy of repression and leniency. But with the establishment of the new regime and the economic recovery, Huidaomen undertook a number of reactionary activities, the government of Tianjin took strict and comprehensive ban. Specifically, the activities taking by the government in Tianjin was divided into three stages: the first stage was the“To catch bandits, first catch the ringleader”, achieving some success; the second stage completely destroyed the Huidaomen’s organizational system; the third stage strengthened the achievement. After a resolute struggle against Huidaomen, the government of Tianjin had made significant achievements, Huidaomen declined. Finally, we should summarize the activities of the government at the early period of People’s Republic of China in Tianjin. In the years of the ban, the government not only accumulated a wealth of experience in the struggle, but also provided a reference to solve the similar problems. The experiences includes that: The Communist Party of China and the People’s government attach great importance to Huidaomen according to law; taking a different principle, formulating and implementing the correct principles and policies; seizing the favorable opportunity, acting resolutely fight against; relying on the masses of the people, taking form loved by the people; paying attention to the relationship between Huidaomen and other social problems; correcting the old errors in thought, preparing for an enduring struggle against.
