Nowadays, there are many problems in the field of world natural heritage management. The contradictions among economic benefit, social benefit and heritage management need to be addressed. Improper development in commerce, tourism and management causes damage to both natural heritages and their surrounding ecological environment. Since World Heritage Convention was formulated since 1972, the number of world heritage sites listed has been increasing year by year; however, the specific guidelines of heritage management are not made yet. Accordingly, Managing Natural World Heritage is produced, which helps to deepen the understanding of World Heritage Convention and to improve management capacity of relevant organizations and staff. The report studies the translation of Chapters 4-6 of Managing Natural World Heritage in terms of vocabulary and sentence to explore efficient methods to better translate texts on science and technology. The original English text is characterized by a large number of proper and professional terms, long sentences for definitions, and attributive clauses. On the basis of these features, the author summarizes difficulties in translation in terms of vocabulary and sentence and explores appropriate translational methods and skills to better and more efficiently transfer them into sound Chinese. For vocabulary, flexile conversion of vocabulary properties, transference of concrete English words into abstract Chinese words, and translation of abstract English words into concrete Chinese words are employed. For long sentences for definitions, sentence segmentation is used. For attributive sentences, front-located method is applied, and some attributive clauses can be translated into adverbial of the Chinese version..
