Nowadays, network has already interwoven with people‘s life. And people are getting familiar with online writing,such as web fiction, news webpage, Weibo and Douban. All these web writing increasingly influences students‘ thought and their writing. So we have no choice but to adapt our traditional composition teaching to the information age.The translator chooses Chapter Three of Crossing Boundaries in Web Writing: Why and How for Liberal Arts Teaching and Learning as the source text in this report. In this chapter web writing make it possible to cross boundaries, not only in race and culture, but also in time and space. As a new method to teach students how to write, web writing teaching provides a new way to solve problems that the traditional one met.
