The thesis aims to study the principles and translation methods to deal with the original information in website product introductions, taking the website of EuroLine Windows as a case. Having collected references about building materials and studies the features of product introduction texts, the author translates the website of EuroLine Windows from English into Chinese based on the skopos theory. This report uses case study to analyze the features of the corporation website which is characterized by profession and readability. Then according to the skopos theory, the product presentation on the corporation website belongs to the informative and operative texts and the author finds out the proper translation methods to solve the problems in the vocabulary and sentence.This report will focus on the long difficult sentences translation appeared in the corporation website and find out the proper translation methods to translate under the guide of skopos theory. The author hopes that this study will provide a reference for future studies about website product introductions. The author wishes this study could help to promote the spread of Chinese import trade by the high quality of English websites.There are five parts in this thesis, including task description, process description, case analysis, implications and conclusion. Chapter One talks about the background of the task,text introduction, text features and reasons for choosing the text. Chapter Two first introduces the translation preparation, and second describes the translation process including translation tools and proofreading. Then describes the difficulties including thetranslation of professional words and long sentences. Chapter Three first introduces the concepts of skopos theory and three guiding rules, then finds out corresponding methods to solve the translation difficulties from the perspective of words and sentences.Finally the conclusion is that when translating website product introductions, the translator should be based on the aim and reader oriented, using corresponding methods to solve translation difficulties and achieve the vocative function of attracting readers to buy.
