"Bu family" document nouns refer to the document noun cluster which contains the monosyllable of "Bu", and is an important part in the ancient China document nouns. They first appeared in the Warring States Period. With the progress of history, the frequency is higher and higher, the range is broader and broader and the intention is more and more abundant.The "Bu family" document noun has important academic significance not only in the research realms of ancient Chinese document words, ancient Chinese paper history and ancient Chinese archival history, but also in the realm of ancient Chinese philology. The paper briefly analyze its race of document nouns by statistical analysis, including "Bushu", "Buji", "Wenbu", "Shubu", "Buli", "Wenbu", "Bu’an", "Budie", "Buling", "Buli" and "Buzhuang", totally 31 document words. And according to its own connotation and application area, the document nouns are discussed with two segments of general document nouns and specific document nouns. The general ones are relatively small in number, but are high in frequency; by contrast, the specific ones are four times many as the general ones, vary in intention, but their frequency is far below the frequency of the general ones. Finally, According to the analysis of time of occurrence, usage and the evolution of connotation, summarize the characteristics and evolution law of "Bu family" document noun in the whole ancient China, subsequently illustrate the important place it occupies in all the document noun race.
