The painting is the artist’s creation as a manuscript diary. It can provide inspiration and help the most important ideas achieve their ultimate desire—creation. The complete works of the artist’s creative ideas presented in the manuscript shows the step-by-step process the artist thought through to achieve the journey to the finished work. The importance of the manuscript in the creation process and its effect cannot be overlooked. Western paintings from the beginning of the Renaissance: Da Vinci, Rafael, and other great artists, show the importance of the manuscript diary in the creation of the work of art. The number of manuscripts preserved is very impressive since artists such as Van Gogh, Picasso, and Giacometti have drawn a large number of manuscripts to help complete the creation of many classical works. This paper begins with an overview of the preliminary manuscript painting, the definition, characteristics, and history of manuscript painting. According to the basic form of manuscript, a description of the classification performance according to the different themes in portrait painting will be analyzed. How the manuscript performance and process of the landscape and still life artists are related are examined. The main part of the thesis aims to discuss the key role of the manuscript in the creative process of painting: painting manuscripts can enhance the perception of art as painting creation; painting is the inspiration for the manuscript records the creative preparation the artist has done for the work; and explore the middle picture arrangement. Painting manuscripts can lead to the formation of the painting language and has an irreplaceable role in each stage of the creative process. It is hoped that oil painting artists can recognize the importance of manuscripts that brings to attention a more vivid creative process filled with the rich emotions of the works. With the rapid development of science and technology today, more and more people draw pictures. These drawings have a long-term dependence on computer processing for the creation of the art. The foundation of the manuscript has been ignored for a long time, and to some extent, limits the artist’s imagination. This has weakened the emotion in the picture creation process, and works hard to avoid down. The above problems should be given enough attention and vigilance so the importance of painting manuscripts is understood. Drawing a large number of manuscripts, accumulation of those manuscripts, and thereby increasing the perception of the artist, will make it possible to avoid vulgar works. This will allow the artist to create works of vivid and rich connotations. |
