Abstract/Summary:
This thesis is based on the background of the TV series, film, literature, and other conversational data, it is a study on the speech act of apology in both Korean and Chinese which is purposed to help the second language learners to improve their language skills, and also analyzed common used, explicit expression of direct and indirect speech act that are substantively helpful for Chinese, Korean education and translationThe ultimate goal of the second language learners is to communicate with the native speakers fluently therefore in order to have a high level of conversation skills, it’s not only to know the rules of grammar, but also to improve the ability of actual use of the language:In the first chapter, this thesis introduces the research purpose and motivation, the first research test, the research scope and the method.In the second chapter, understand the development and main concepts of speech act theory, and also understand the analysis unit of apology speech act. Analyze direct verbal apologies behavior and indirect verbal apologies behavior also distinguishes the difference of non-verbal forms and to classify the characteristics of various strategies of the framework.In the third and forth chapter, analyze the speech act of apology of Chinese and Korean. By using Chinese and Korean TV drama, film, literature, press conference and various conversations to analyze speech act of apology, and giving example to explain and compare every situation.In the fifth chapter, through the analysis of the speech act of apology between Chinese and Korean, summarizes the reasons for the differences.In the last sixth chapters is the conclusion of this thesis which is to summarize the above analysis results and explain the significance and value of the research.Because of collecting actual conversation example is quiet difficult, so this research has used tactful and beautified TV drama, film, literature and other as the object of analysis, and does not include main elements that effects the speech act of apology, so this thesis has limitations.
