As teaching Chinese as a second language is being promoted by our country, the Chinese language gets greater and greater influence around the world; there are more and more people learning Chinese across the globe every year. As a significant part of learning Chinese, the study of Chinese characters becomes the most difficult thing for foreign students,while misusing characters is a quite common mistake made by them. This paper will take the misused characters from HSK dynamic composition corpus as the research material, and categorize and count them, then analyze the reason why foreign students misused them, finally, make suggestions about teaching Chinese characters accordingly. The result of this research would help Chinese teachers to choose wisely the important and difficult points in character teaching, and at the same time, help foreign students to decrease or even avoid the chances to make this sort of mistakes, so improve the students’ accuracy for writing the right character.The first chapter of this paper is introduction, which introduces the reason why this topic is chosen and its research meaning. Then there is a concise review of the study on the mistakes about Chinese character, the mistakes made by foreign students, and teaching Chinese characters as a second language. The final section of this chapter introduces the sourcesof the corpus of this paper and the research methods.The second chaptet is based on the database from the HSK dynamic composition corpus.This article is major summaries the misused characters from the aspects of shape,pronounce and definition.Meanwhile the author used lots of chart and graph to show the statistical result directly,and based on those large data analysis,the author tried to analyze the cause of formation of misused characters from own characteristics of Chinese characters,the learner and teaching.The thirdly chapter is the suggestion for the Chinese characters education.According to the traits of the learner with misused characters,the author suggests to use the stroke analysis 〠Chinese character tracing method and coponent analysis method for the similar-shaped Chinese characters teaching.And then,the author believes that exercies to corret pronunciation and character pattern could greatly reduce the use of the misused character.Finally,aim at the meanings of the characters,the author think we could start from the meaning of a word,and analyses each character,and then pracice some phrases. |
