Objective: To research and analysis the present situation and problems of high school students’ conscience and the sense of meaning in life; To explore the relationship between high school students conscience and the meaning of life.Method: Using the adolescent questionnaire which made by Xiaoyan Qiu, Liangshi Yan in 2015: 《Conscience Questionnaire》 and《Chinese revised version Meaning in Life Questionnaire(C-MLQ)》to investigate,and the cluster random sampling method was used to survey,then 1300 high school students was randomly selected in four high school of municipal, county, township(town) level in Guigang city,Guangxi. 1167 questionnaires were available.Research results:(1)The current level of high school students’ conscience was generally high.There are differences in gender, mother’s cultural degree and whether only children, cadre or not. There are no significant differences in the other demographic statistics variables.(2)The current level of high school students’ meaning in life was generally high. There are differences in gender and cadre or not. There are no significant differences in the other demographic statistics variables.(3)The different conscience level of high school student has significant differences in the meaning of life; different levels of high school studentsin the meaning of life has significant differences in conscience(except the dimension of shame).(4)It has positively significant correlation between high school students’ conscience and the meaning in life, and the correlation coefficient reaches 0.01; It has positively significant correlation between seven dimensions of high school students’ conscience and the sense of meaning in life except the dimension of shame; Among the eight dimensions of high school students’ conscience, six dimensions have significant correlation with the meaning in life pursuit,except the dimensions of shame and honesty.(5)The high school students’ conscience can predict its life meaning significance, and The high school students’ life meaning significance can predict its conscience.Conclusion:(1)This study find out that the status of senior high school students’ conscience and the sense of meaning in life is well. The gender, educational achievements of mother, whether the student cadre and only children or not actually affects the high school students’ conscience, and the gender, whether the student cadre not actually affects the high school students’ sense of meaning in life.(2)The high school students’ conscience is closely related to the meaning of life, the higher level of high school students’ conscience, the stronger sense of life significance.(3)The high school students’ conscience affects its life significance, on the contrary, it affects too.
