Today’s tea culture has penetrated into all aspects of society, becoming Chinese national drink and a symbol of modern civilization. Under profound background of tea culture, tea sets gradually appeared and become more and more popular with tea lovers. Along with the development of the era, humanized design becomes the new fashion in this era which has influence in ceramic tea set. The ceramic tea set original aim at meeting the needs of people drinking habits gradually developed to satisfy people’s spiritual pleasure and enjoyment with the humanized design.Since ancient times, there are countless researches on the ceramic tea set, but exist the following deficiencies:stress on knowledge introduction and lack of specific study; short of study on the relationship between humanization and the design of ceramic tea set. This article aims at deepening and supplementing the research on humanized design of ceramic tea set based on the existing researches with a new Angle-Mallow’s"hierarchy of needs theory". According to the five progressive needs to study on humanized design of ceramic tea set, this paper can offer theories for the future rehears in this filed. So it can advocate designers keeping pace with the times, holding bold innovation and design ceramic tea set that in accordance with the needs of the people and embody cultural connotation and humanization.This paper consists of five parts, the first part is analysis of tea culture definition, development and feature and then elicit the analysis of tea set definition, especially analyze on the advantages of the ceramic tea set and historical evolution; The second part analyzes the related background of humanized design in ceramic tea set; The third part and fourth part are the core of the article chapter, through analyzing the situation of humanized design of ceramic tea set, summarized the humanized design trend of ceramic tea set.
