Emotion and decision making are always inter-influence, they have a close connection with the human life. Along with integration of sociology, economics and psychology, the relationship between emotion and social decision making has become the focus of attention from various disciplines researchers. It is showed that the most researches on decision making are about the influence of conscious emotion, but seldom on that of unconscious emotion. Furthermore, only gain situation are used in most research, loss situation is less involved. Therefore, this research investigates the effect of unconscious emotion on individual’s social decision making in gain and loss situation by taking college students as participants, using unconscious emotion priming paradigm and the ultimatum game.The study includes three experiments. The experiment 1 is preparatory experiment, it adopt unconscious emotion priming paradigm to explore which presentation time will induce unconscious emotion. In experiment 2, the ultimatum game and its modified version are adopted, the purpose is to explore the effect of induced unconscious emotion before decision making on individuals decision making. The purpose of experiment 3 is to examine the effect of induced unconscious emotion during decision making on individual’s decision making.Through the study of these three experiments, the following conclusions are put forward:(1)The participants were unaware of masked emotional faces shown for 16ms.(2)Unconscious emotion of different valence didn’t have significant difference in gain and loss situation, which induced before the ultimatum game.(3)Different unconscious emotion induced during the ultimatum game had significant difference, but only significantly affected the acceptance rates of midfair offers (7:3/6:4). Moreover, in happy emotions, subjects’acceptance rate were most highest; in angry emotions, subjects’ acceptance rate were most lowest; in neutral emotions, subjects’ acceptance rate were center, and the difference among the three were significant.(4)Fairness level had significant influence in gain and loss domain, moreover, participants’acceptance rate decreased as the offers become less fair.
