Intertemporal choice are decisions that involve compare and balance the possible results of different intervals, usually the later result will be underestimated by decision makers, this phenomenon is known as delay discounting. The addictive population generally prefers the immediate benefit and ignores the terrible consequence which happen in the future. It's feasible to use delay discounting to explore choice preference in addictive populationo Hence, this study recruited university student as control group, using the intertemporal choice task to explore the delay discounting level of methamphetamine addict. This study contains two experiments, the first experiment intented to examine the impact of the gain and loss situation on the delayed discount level of the methamphetamine addict, and investigate the characteristics of the delayed discount in the loss situation, combining with the expected emotional discount. 2(subjects type:methamphetics / college students) × 2(prospective emotion: assess / no assess) × 2(situation: gain / loss) × 2(stimulus amount: 100 / 1000 yuan) × 2(delay time: one month / one year) mixed experiment was designed to conduct; The purpose of Experiment 2 is to examine the impact of construal level on discount behavior of methamphetamine withdrawal. 3 (construal level: high start / low start / no start) × 2(subjects type: methamphetics, college students) × 2 (gain and loss situation: gain /loss) × 2 (stimulus amount: 100 yuan / 1000 yuan) × 2 (delay time: one month / one year) mixed experiment was designed to implement, all with the subjective value of the delay option as the dependent variable. The results showed:(1)The main effects of the type, gain and loss situation, delay time and stimulus amount are significant;(2)The interaction between the gain and loss situation and the stimulus amount is significant, the magnitude effect exists only in the gain situation;(3)The interaction of gain and loss situation, stimulus amount and expected emotion is significant;(4)The interaction of subjects type, gain and loss situation and delay time is significant nearly;(5)The interaction between the subjects type and the construal level is significant.Conclusion:(1)Three features of the intertemporal decision-making of the methamphetamine addict: the methamphetamine withdrawal is more inclined to timely benefit and delay loss; is not sensitive to the difference between one month and one year, and is not affected by the level of interpretation;(2)The discount level of the loss situation is lower than that of benefit situation;the discount level drops as the stimulus amount increases, and raises as time goes by;the value effect does not exist in the loss situation;(3)The discounts of the prospective emotion and the discount of the intertemporal task keep the coherent pace significantly, and prospective emotion assessment make the sign effect disappear under the large amount of loss.(4)College students who accept the abstract mindset perform lower discount level than who accept the specific mindset.
